I mean, i know that the whole sydney 2000 olympic games thing was a bit of a shambles. but at least we could sit back with some pseudo-okka beer (namely fourex) and say "she'll be right mate, the stadium isn't built yet but we can just do the running bit down at the paddicks...". Which leads me to incorporate the wonderful ABC's "The Games" television series into this blog, being just that- good old aussies taking the piss out of ourselves. But are the greek doing that? Are they throwing ...

The Sunday Mail, highly informative and cutting edge tabloid that it is, today published a section with articles such as “Ad campaign unveils ‘real’ supermodels”, “Happy to be older, in control” and…take a look at this one- “Liberated females turn to tomboys”. Fourteen Killed as Turkish train hits minibus. Millions stranded by Bangalese Floodwaters. Columbia's biggest cocaine haul ever discovered. ...and another car bomb in Baghdad. Is that all the world can offer? Throwing segments of beliefs and religion, add a touch of terror an threat, top it off with natural disasters and- well- you wonder why my days are spent curled up into a ball in a black room with minmal furnishings. My head is in a dark enough place as it is, even without...

A new blog site. Another day another dollar. If you're like me, another day curled up in bed trying to avoid the persistent glare of sun squinting at you between the window and the curtain. Fire and Brimstone shall fall upon whoever named Queensland the "Sunshine State." University is looming again. For me, university is a very scary thing. A fear of failure, hard driven and pushy need for success means that goals and standards (usually, one would say, unrealistically high) are usually...
